If you enjoy the sunrise, the sunrise on 4th Jan will be a little different as it will be partially eclipsed by the moon....

An approximate 50% Solar eclipse will be taking place just as the sun rises on 4th January, 2011. The above picture is a simulation of the eclipse at 8.20 in the morning UK time, viewed from London. The eclipse will occur just above the horizon.

Remember, please do not look directly at the sun. You will damage your eyes.
